Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to common questions about trusting and using a finance-organizing app.

Does PayPilot connect to my bank?

No. PayPilot is designed for records you choose to enter or import through supported device shortcuts. It does not automatically access your bank account.

Where are my records stored?

Working data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in and enable sync, encrypted records are written to PayPilot’s Firebase/Cloud Firestore project. See the privacy policy’s sync section.

Can PayPilot see my financial records?

The app encrypts finance records on the device before cloud sync. The cloud stores encrypted envelopes and a wrapped key. No design can promise absolute security, so protect your device and sign-in account.

Why did I receive a reminder?

Reminders are local notifications scheduled from your records and reminder settings. You can change notifications in PayPilot or your device settings.

How do I change the currency?

Open Settings, choose Home currency, and select the currency you need. PayPilot shows the selected symbol in totals and entry fields.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Delete account inside PayPilot. If you cannot access the app, use the account deletion page.

Can I use PayPilot without an account?

Some local behavior may be available before sign-in, but cloud sync requires an account. Check the current app build for the exact sign-in requirement.

How do I contact support?

Visit Support and include your app version, device platform, and a clear description. Never include passwords or one-time codes.
